Un seguro o póliza de viaje es un contrato de seguro mediante el cuál una persona (el asegurado) paga una prima a una compañía de seguros a los fines de que esta cubra los riesgos que se asumen al salir del lugar de residencia. Entre las coberturas que cubren este tipo de pólizas se pueden encontrar asistencia médica, pérdida de equipaje, cobertura de gastos legales, entre otras.
